Kremlin confirms President Putin still affected by Moscow concert hall massacre
In a recent statement, the Kremlin confirmed that President Vladimir Putin is still deeply pained by the tragic massacre that took place at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow. Gunmen stormed the concert hall, killing 144 people and injuring hundreds more in a brutal attack that shocked the nation.
Despite the devastating incident, Putin has not publicly met with survivors or visited the scene of the attack. This has led to criticism from some quarters, with Western diplomats, including those from the EU and US, visiting a makeshift memorial for the victims.
However, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov defended Putin, stating that the President is dealing with the tragedy in his own way. Peskov emphasized that while the pain may not be visible, it is still very much present for Putin. He also suggested that no one outside of Putin’s inner circle will truly understand the depth of the pain he is going through.
As the country continues to mourn the victims of the massacre, the Kremlin has indicated that Putin is taking time to grieve and process the traumatic events that unfolded at the concert hall. Despite facing criticism for his response to the tragedy, Peskov’s comments shed light on the personal toll that the attack has taken on Putin and the challenges he faces in coping with the aftermath.
